com2u mission
com2u are committed to reducing the amount of IT waste equipment that is added to the UK environment each year. We are committed to removing, refurbishing and re-using as much of this equipment as possible, making it available to charities, low income groups and developing countries. When that equipment has no further useful life only then will it be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Environmental responsibility
It takes the weight of a rhinoceros in raw materials to produce a new computer. Harmful chemicals such as Barium, Beryllium, Cadium, Lead, Mercury, Hydroflurocarbon, Chlorofluorocarbon, and Polymer Haloalkenes, are all present in IT equipment— Chemicals that have been linked to cancer, intestinal illness, vascular diseases, as well as kidney, liver, bone and blood damage in humans.

com2u are members of the Microsoft® Authorised Refurbishment programme. We now successfully collect, refurbish and re-use IT equipment that would otherwise end up in UK landfill sites. We are able to provide a discount to charities allowing them access to Microsoft® 2000/XP operating systems and Office 2003 standard version product. We also make our refurbished equipment available to low income groups and developing countries.

com2u care about society and the environment and are dedicated to making a positive impact.
